Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before acceptance. Your completed registration indicates that you have read all of the terms and conditions, understand them and acknowledge your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1. Personal Data:
By completing and submitting this enrolment, you hereby give consent to SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd to use your personal data as set out below –
SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd collects personal data such as names and identification numbers (eg. Last 4 digits of NRIC, FIN, Passport, IRATA) of trainees for the submission of documents to IRATA for their issuance of individual course completion certificates whereby such data (names and IRATA numbers) will be printed. This is in accordance with guidelines advocated by course accrediting bodies. Additional data such as email address / mobile phone numbers are collected for the provision of course reminders and certificate collection. SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd understands that trainee’s privacy is important and endeavours to protect personal information of trainees. Trainee information will not be revealed to any external organisation unless such information is requested to authenticate certifications or is required by law. Trainee information will not be sold , traded or rented to others. SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd reserves the right to change the above provision from time to time with or without notice.
2. Course Confirmation:
Registration will be considered as confirmed only upon receipt of deposit payment of SGD$288. All balance payment for the course fees should be received by SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd before course commencement. In the event where the course is over-subscribed/over-booked or the minimum paxs to run this course is not met, SB Rope Access reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the course date for those affected.
3. Cancellation Policy:
For our IRATA Courses, you may cancel at any time. Please note that it is often difficult for us to find someone to fill your seat. You will not incur a cancellation charge if you can find a substitute of equal standing to take your place at least 1 week before course commencement. We charge a cancellation fee of SGD$288 per pax, because there is a cost associated with the registration process. We also commit to course materials, assessor bookings and other costs once your registration is processed. If you think there is a possibility that you may cancel, please read our Refund Policy below before you complete the registration process.
For our Petzl PPE Courses, please note that as it is often difficult for us to find someone to fill your seat, cancellation or postponing your course date is not allowed at all. If you can find a substitute of equal standing to take your place at least 1 week before course commencement, this will be allowed.
4. Payment Policy:
All arrangements including but not limited to course registration, changes to submitted registration and or replacement class for absentees, will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment. The amount payable will be based on the registered number of participants or the number of participants that attended the course, whichever higher. SB Rope Access Specialist reserves the right to cancel enrolments where payment is not made.
5. GST and Taxes:
Currently, all payments are nett amount and are not subjected to GST and taxes. This may change in time to come.
6. Legal binding:
By submitting this enrolment, your registration is final. You hereby irrevocably commit to the registration of the course / training with SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd and will not withdraw your registration regardless of reason. Any changes made to your registration will be subjected to the fees stipulated in this terms and conditions. In the event that you decide to withdraw or cancel your registration, you understand that the full course fee will be charged immediately. You and/or your organisation will take full responsibility of making full payment by noon on the stipulated date indicated in your invoice and will take all means necessary to ensure that the full course fee will be reimbursed to SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd. You also understand and agree that if the payment is not made by noon on the stipulated date, you will cover all costs and expenditure, including but not limited to legal costs, administrative costs and manpower costs to retrieve this payment from you.
7. Substitutions:
You may substitute another person at any time for our IRATA Course. We require a minimum of 7 days notice prior to the commencement of the course directly via email of any substitution of participants.
8. Changes to Submitted Registration:
Any changes made to the registration details including, but not limited to, timing of course and course dates are subjected to availability and should be notified and agreed upon in writing via email, at least 7 days before the commencement of the original registered date of course.
9. Mode of Assessment and Successful Course Completion:
Most courses comprise of theory and practical assessment. Participants must fulfil the passing requirements of the course, which includes but is not limited to assessment criteria, attendance criteria and completion of critical course components. There will be no refunds or re-examinations for participants who fail the passing requirement. Any subsequent arrangements to fulfil the course requirements for certification will be at the discretion of SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd and subjected to the full course fees.
10. Instructors:
Instructors may undertake a rotational shift. Instructors schedule are subjected to changes and assigned instructors may be replaced when necessary.
11. Refund Policy:
For our IRATA Course, if you have to cancel your registration more than 7 days before the course date, your deposit of SGD$288 will be completely forfeited.
For our Petzl PPE Verifier Course, if you have to cancel your registration, you will be charged the full amount of the enrolment, there will be no refund at all. If you fail to show up without cancelling, you will be charged the full amount of the enrolment which have been paid.
12. Replacement Class:
If the participant has acceptable reason (“acceptable” to be later determined by SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd) for not attending the scheduled training, they may, under no obligation, be rescheduled for a replacement class. Under such circumstances there will be an administration fee of at least 25% of the value of the enrolment up to schedule a replacement class.
13. Housekeeping Guidelines:
We have done our best to create a favourable environment for teaching and learning. We ask for your co-operation to be considerate during class. Please follow our simple housekeeping rules: Cell phones silenced during class; Don’t talk to others while the instructor is teaching; Don’t be rude to others; No violence. Any damages to the equipment and property of SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd including but not limited to the equipment, surrounding, furniture, machine, plant, structure of any kind must be compensated and replaced by the individual(s) who caused these damages. Our instructors are empowered to enforce these rules and guidelines. We reserve the right to remove without refund any participant who do not follow the basic house rules and housekeeping guidelines, including but not limited to, potentially damaging our equipment and property and/or causing nuisance, distraction or disruption of any kind to the instructor, staffs or other participants.
14. Safe Environment:
We do our best to create a safe environment and ask that you don’t intentionally create any hazard. If you observe an unsafe condition or an unsafe action, please bring it to your instructors’ attention immediately.
15. Model Release:
By registering to attend a SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd course, you hereby grant to SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to use, re-use, display, distribute, transmit, publish, re-publish, copy, or otherwise exploit, either in whole or in part, either digitally, in print, or in any other medium now or hereafter known, for any purpose whatsoever and without restriction, photographs and videos taken of you, or in which you may be included; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same. You understand and agree that SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd and its Photographer/ Videographer may or may not use your name in conjunction with the photographs and videos as he or she so chooses. You hereby release and discharge SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd and its Photographer/ Videographer, and his or her agents, representatives, and assignees from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs and videos, including without limitation any and all claims for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, and defamation.
16. Course Cancellations:
SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel course offerings with prior notice and issue a full refund to registrants, as our courses require minimum attendance to run. Although rare, certified instructors may get sick or have emergencies or other circumstances beyond our control. SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd does not accept responsibility for any losses you might incur as a result.
17. Restrictions:
You are NOT permitted to Videotape or record the class; Rent, lend, lease, license, sub-license, transfer, distribute, grant or assign any rights to the lesson, notes, workbook or other materials (“Materials”) that you receive as part of the class, printed or digital, to any third party or any other person; Copy, download, upload, or otherwise reproduce or replicate the class notes in any medium, including, without limitation, online transmissions, local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, extranets and the Internet, in any way, in whole or in part; Use any part of the Materials provided as part of the class in a commercial product; Use any of the Materials provided as part of the class in merchandise, whether for wholesale or retail; Use any of the Materials provided as part of the class, to enter into a competing business, whether directly or indirectly, or to create like or derivative products or services that substitute for or compete with SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd products or services. This restriction includes sub-licensing, re-selling, renting or distributing the Materials or any derivative works; Use the Materials in a logo, trademark or service mark; Alter, remove obscure or obstruct the display of any copyright, trademark, end user license agreement or other proprietary notice on/or in the Materials.
18. Indemnity:
By completing and submitting this enrollment, you hereby declare that you have obtained medical clearance to attend this course. In consideration of the acceptance of this application for enrolment, you hereby agree to waive and release any and all rights and claims for any consequential, incidental or direct injury and damages including without limitation, any loss of data, or loss of personal belongings or lost savings that you or your registered participant(s) may have against SB Rope Access Specialist Pte Ltd and all sponsors and all employees and agents for any or all injuries and damages which may be sustained and suffered by the participant in connection with your association with, or entry into this training, and which may arise out of your traveling to and participating in or returning from the training. You hereby declare that you and your registered participant(s) agrees to this indemnity and if injuries and damages should occur during, traveling to or returning from the training, you will bear all costs, present and future, through your own means.
19. Birthday Promo:
- Promotion is only valid if you sign up on your birthday month, or sign up before your birthday month and take the course on your birthday month.
- Your birthday is to be verified as per your Identification Card / Passport.
- A non-refundable deposit of the total course fee must be paid during sign-up (SGD$288).
- Course date must be fixed during sign-up.
- Strictly no changing of the course date once it is fixed, unless the course is postponed or cancelled by SB due to various reasons (e.g. not enough participants to run the course).
- The person who signs up via the birthday promo must also be the same person who is participating in our IRATA course.
- The person is responsible for letting SB know that he/she is signing up for this birthday promo. If the person fails to let SB know by then end of the course, the person will not be eligible for the promotion as it would be deemed as expired.
- SB reserves the rights to replace other items of similar value at any time of the promotion due to any unforeseen circumstances.
- This promotion is for a limited time and SB reserves the rights to terminate this promotion at any time.
